  • 1993 - 2005
In October 1993, The Nicola Hyland School of Dancing opened in Adisham, Nr Canterbury. One year later, classes started at Kingsmead Leisure Centre in Canterbury. Following a short spell at the church hall in Watling Street, classes eventually moved and were established at Sturry Social Centre, Sturry, Nr Canterbury and Spring Lane, Canterbury. Over time other classes were opened, amalgamated, split in two, etc. and during this time Nikki also took over classes from Jenny James at St Stephens Community Centre.

  • 2005 – 2007
In early 2005 Amy Goldstone and Jessica Oldfield, who had both been at the school from very young, qualified through the IDTA. From this point, classes opened at St Johns in Canterbury and Bockhanger Community Centre in Ashford. During this period, we also established Dance and Cheerleading clubs in many educational schools throughout Canterbury and the surrounding areas. Francesca Kemp, as well as Amy and Jess took their NCSSE Cheerleading qualification through the BCA. Near the end of 2006 we were also pleased to welcome Sophie Williams to our team.

  • 2007 and on
Following Nikki’s wedding in March 2006 and the expansion of the school, the decision has been taken to re-launch the school with a new name and logo. Now under the name Impact Dance and Cheer we are sure the success of the school will continue.
