Teacher Training

For those 17 years and over interested in a career in teaching freestyle dance we provide on-the-job, in-house training for the IDTA Associate Freestyle exam which is the basic teaching qualification.

  • Solo, Pairs and RockíníRoll amateur IDTA examinations to at least Star 4 level
  • A consistent attendance as an amateur dancer within the school

ImageYou must be able to provide the following:
  • If 18 years or over, a CRB check
  • 6-10 hours per week (evenings and weekends) for training and work experience
  • A willingness to learn and pass on knowledge to others.

Preference is given to those candidates that have the following:
  • Ballroom and Latin American training
  • Cheerleading training
  • A full driving license or a provisional with a test date
  • Presidentís award level in amateur examinations
  • Long term pupils within the school
